Dark. That’s what Tasia’s eyes opened to. A moment to comprehend where she was, Tasia realized her body had been lying on the floor for some time. How long? How long had she been on the floor? She sat up, slowly and felt a chill come over her body.Sticky, why is she sticky? She couldn’t tell what was covering her body, but it made her feel wet and cold. It was in her hair also. Whatever it was, hopefully it didn't make its way into her mouth. Tasia noticed she was fully clothed with her shoes still on--what had happened prior to this moment?
Tasia stood up, almost falling back to her knees. Her head was woozy, feeling heavier than usual. She grabbed her head as her vision tried to focus on something around her. Couch...a couch...Tasia was in the Old Miller's place!
"I dare you to go in there and sit on the floor!" "What kind of dare is that?" "One you're obviously trying to get out of!" "Eat dog shit--watch me!" Josh and your fucking dares, Tasia thought as her head pounded more. The memory of Tasia taking drunk steps down the road with her friends while they filmed her doing a dare. Tasia and Josh were the competitive friends out of their six member group. The two young adults loved making a contest out of anything and tonight, it was to see how long a game of truth or dare would go. However, Tasia didn't think it'd get this far. She let her head go to the back of her head and she winced from her soft touch---
Tasia plopped her body down on the hard floor, giggling from her on clumsiness."Okay, guys!" Tasia laughed aloud. "I-I'm here on th-the f-floor! G-give--"
Tasia's drunken speech was interrupted from a sharp pain from the back of her head and suddenly her vision was black.
--Who hit me...and why? Tasia began walking towards the front of the house where the front door is. Her legs were gaining feeling back and the numbness started to fade. Tasia could tell the house hasn't catered to for years as she peeped the floating dust in the air. It was dark and cold, barely any light coming through the cracked windows. At the end of a long hallway, her body was in the back room of the one story house. Tasia was at the bedroom door, scared to step forward and walk out into the hallway. She would have to pass the opened door rooms, which shown nothing but blackness. Of course, Tasia wasn't the one to believe in anything superstitious. It's just a dark house, right?
Tasia heard a small creak behind her and she jumped. She gasped in horror as the moon light revealed a painted pentagram on the floor with burned out candles and wax on the floor.
Tasia quickly covered her mouth as she screamed. Her body was centered in this ungodly travesty. Her legs started to go backwards as if it knew what Tasia wanted and she stumbled into the room's door. A crackle sound came from behind the door, letting Tasia know it's glass. She pulled the door towards her and a mirror was in Tasia's view. Tasia couldn't believe her eyes--she was covered in blood! The young woman couldn't help but to begin hyperventilating--what the f*ck is happening! What is that?
A red reflection sparked in Tasia's eyes and her eyes were attracted to the medium-sized single charmed choker around her neck. The charm that glistened in Tasia's eyes was of a deep, ruby red shaped as a teardrop. Tasia grabbed the necklace only to discover the horror if it not being a necklace...Tasia stepped closer to the mirror as tears began rolling down from her eyes. Her fingers felt the aftermath of a burnt skin --rough and rugged. Where material appeared black and velvety, it felt the opposite. It appeared as a necklace but to her dismay, Tasia cried softly as she could not accept the beautiful scar as a sight to see. This couldn't--
A noise came from the front of the house. Should Tasia check it out? Could her heart handle anything else? Was she prepared to fight for her life? She has no clue what had happened to her within the past few hours. It was clear she had been used in some kind of evil ritual in this house and she needed to get out before those who used her come back. She had to leave. Tasia held her breath in as she stepped outside the room.
The floor creaked as her steps placed themselves, but it didn't stop her. Tasia knew she had to get out no matter what. She was lucky enough to find a thick metal pipe in the room she came from. She held it in front of her defensively, tightly gripped in her hands. She was halfway to the front when something brushed hard against her leg. She cried out as a black cat rushed past her and disappeared into the darkness before her. Tasia sighed and got back into protective mode over her bloody body.
She made it to the front door--it was just a few feet before her. It was good to be true so Tasia looked around frantically. Nothing in sight but old furniture that's covered in white sheets. It was only a few pieces in here and they were spread out. The room was large enough for 20 people to stand in, giving the room an continuing echo. Tasia had seen there was broken glass from a lamp that had fell over--explains the noise from earlier.
Tasia grabbed the doorknob in a panic, and pulled the door open with all her strength. She ran out, happily--knowing she could run back to her friends' house where safety resided. Tasia fell to her knees, dropping the metal pipe on the ground, as her eyes discovered all 5 of her friends pinned on crosses upside down...burning alive. Tasia's breath escaped her chest; she couldn't breathe and she wanted to scream. She sat there on the porch of the old, worn out house--watching her friends die. Finally, a scream escaped her throat as she realized her friends' mouths were taped shut. Their movements slowed down the more their bodies burned and Tasia sat there frozen. As soon as she gained some strength to get up, two dark clothed individuals appeared out of nowhere and grabbed her by her arms, dragging her off the porch. They took her off the porch to be before her dying peers. Her friends were lined in a half crescent moon outline shape, fire burning every part of them and the wood. Tasia's face grew warmer as the fire was closer to her now.
Tasia tried to pull away but the, possibly but surely, men were too strong for her to break away. They threw her in the middle of the yard and more dark figures appeared. Tasia screamed as tall figures began chanting something that rung in her ears. It became painful the more the men chanted--the engraved necklace upon Tasia's neck. The burn throbbed and Tasia winced in pain. She let out an unfamiliar holler, suddenly feeling the sensation to scratch her finger tips.
Tasia's body began to transform. The skin on her black began to split as two bony wings unleashed with a bloody mess. Tasia felt the urge to rip her clothes off as her skin burned with them on. She revealed herself to these men, losing control over her thoughts and actions. Her finger and toe nails grew two more inches into sharp daggers--so did her teeth. Her eyes became a dark purple, the purple shade glistening from the fire's reflection. Even her height grew about three inches, making Tasia's legs longer. She screamed once more as a tail dispersed from the crack of her butt.
"Is that fire?" A man walking nearby in the woods near the Old Miller House noticed light coming from an abandoned house. The house didn't have a backyard--it was strictly front yard. Acres of land fell behind this house and it neighbored another residential area. The man was on a nightly stroll when he caught a glimpse of a large fire occurring. He walked around the house so he could get a better view of everything. "Oh my God!"
