All she ever wanted was community and

Relativity and unity.

She never begged, ‘cept—she found herself

Desiring the attention of the one who leads.

Ignorance and arrogance built a wall she didn’t mean to manifest.

Isolation was her fortress; a stranger’s presence felt suspect.

However,

It was the darkness where her tribe found her.

She let go, especially the fear of never being welcomed.

Various connections throughout her journey have empowered her to seek

Eternity with those who felt like her,

Swayed like her under the moon’s sunlight.

If she was safe, she felt like her own.

She’d forget how hard the steps became,

She wouldn’t let a thorn keep her from those roses.

Tears were born along the way, positively and negatively.

She hustled her way around, but she stayed true to her nature.

Laughed when it was on,

Screamed like she allowed herself to,

Cussed when she felt built up,

Sang when she knew no one was listening.

Gave her body sacredly, with gems and the fountain of youth, but in return,

She acquired false prophets and empty promises mostly.

These unhealed souls reminded her of the one who led, from her past.

She persevered, she lost, she remained someone less fragile.

She was reborn and her heart finally embraced the change.
